Vacuum pack this:
a sentiment and its reason from the days of yore.
And stash it on a shelf in the closet.
Call California Closets if you must,
to make room for the stuff:
“I used to always want to live in Northern California…
because I wanted those crisp ocean mornings of sun and rain, with a European coffee, and a fresh paper with a super-liberal take…”
OK, yes, go on now, and suck the life out of it.
Maybe I’d better put it under the bed, where I can at least still dream about it when I am unconscious…
or it’s plausible my dream may some day come out of the closet….
